An interview with:
Dr. Robin Taylor
Why did you become a chiropractor?
When I was in the third form at Takapuna Grammar I nearly broke my neck playing rugby!
Fortunately, my parents took me to a Chiropractor in Takapuna and the results were miraculous. Over the next few years, I spent time talking with a Chiropractor until it clicked Chiropractic was not just about back care but suddenly it made sense health was also not just about popping pills when we are sick.
The understanding the human body is fundamentally healthy once we do the right things; diet, exercise, adequate sleep, positive mental attitude and look after the spine and nerve system! Finally, I headed off to the USA and the rest is history.
What are your favourite things to work with?
Basically, I don't have any!! I try and keep things simple, regardless of age, gender, etc. if a person has subluxations (misalignment) then regular adjustments are an important part of a sensible health care regime!! I love working with patients who understand the bigger perspective and take personal responsibility for trying to stay healthy!
What should people know about you?
I grew up on the North Shore, went to Bayswater primary, Belmont Intermediate and on to Takapuna Grammar. Apart from my time in the USA I have lived and practised all my life on the Shore! Currently living and enjoying life in the Viaduct!
Working now at Balanced Spine has been fun, exciting and extremely enjoyable. I look forward to being part of the team!
