Your first visit

What to expect during your first visit

Questionnaire

During your first visit, you will need to fill out our initial patient consultation questionnaire. To save time, you can download it from the sidebar on this website. In the questionnaire we ask you about your medical history and affliction related questions.

Once in the patient room, Sara will discuss your health concerns and goals with you to see if chiropractic care is right for you.

Tests

A number of tests are done by Dr. Sara during the exam to help analyse the spine and nervous system. These may change from patient to patient depending on the main issue. These tests will help get an understanding of your nervous system health and guide our recommendations for your care.

X-Rays

If required, X-rays may be recommended to pinpoint subluxations and other issues with your spine. Generally thermography gives us a sufficient read on the issue to plot a course of action.

Adjustment

Once we locate the issue, we will plot a course of action for you and initiate the initial adjustment. Adjustments are generally painless and no special garments are required to be worn. In most cases you'd keep your clothes on as adjustments can be performed through fabric. Just ensure the clothes have enough give to allow for movements.

The initial visit takes about 45 minutes to complete and follow up adjustments take about 15 minutes so you can fit them into your busy schedule. If required, X-rays may be recommended to pinpoint subluxations and other issues with your spine.
