The Techniques

At Balanced Spine we use multiple chiropractic techniques depending on the issue at hand.

The most common type we use is a manual manipulation method which has been practised since the times of ancient Egypt. The father of modern medicine, Hippocrates, also makes mention of its use in ancient Greece. In fact, he goes on to say that the key to a healthy life, is a healthy spine. This is because your spine is the switchboard of your body and any disruptions there can lead to a disruption of the whole system.

The activator method which requires the use of an activator device is also used. This uses gentle impulse force to restore motion to joints and muscles by allowing us to target small yet vital areas of your spine and muscles.

A spinal decompression table is also available to allow us to reduce the strain on your vertebrae due to improper posture and forces at play on your back.

How it Works

The goal of chiropractic adjustment, also known as spinal manipulation, is to correct structural alignment and improve your body's physical function.
